Arkansas Supportive Housing Network Inc. - 15 Years of Service to the Homeless and Disabled

Arkansas Supportive Housing Network, Inc., was originally formed in 1992 under the name of AIDS Outreach of Arkansas, Inc. (AOA).  The agency was formed to meet the burgeoning needs of homeless persons living with HIV/AIDS.

After ten years of operation and responsiveness to the needs of the homeless population in Arkansas, the Board of Directors broadened the scope, name, and mission of the agency to more clearly reflect the services provided.  The new name of Arkansas Supportive Housing Network (ASHN) reflects the new and expanded vision of the agency.

Since its inception in 1992, ASHN has assisted over 1500 Arkansans with housing and supportive services.  ASHN has programs that meet the needs of the homeless on every level to ensure that no person who is homeless must remain homeless.

ASHN offers a highly structured supportive program individualized to each participant’s needs.  ASHN is very proud that many of  our homeless participants have, because of the supportive housing program, either returned to employment or been able to access disability benefits and returned to self-sufficiency.

The goal of ASHN is to provide an open door for homeless and low income persons with disabilities to access opportunities to live healthy and productive lives.  The board and staff of ASHN are dedicated in our efforts to provide an atmosphere of wellness by furnishing safe and stable housing and access to a wide variety of services.
